Don’t forget these Wedding Day Groomsmen Poses! While a lot of the focus of the day will be on the bride and her attendants, the guys deserve some attention too, right? Of course they do! Whether you’ll have a large wedding party, or just one best man, it’s important to capture you all together.  While the groom’s preferences will vary on pose ideas they like, you can get some ideas here to start. So let’s begin making a list of the important groupings you want, and any creative ideas you love.

Getting Ready Together

This often gets overlooked in smaller weddings. But for weddings with larger parties, it’s a must. Set aside the time with your photographer and videographer crew to come be part of the getting ready photos. We do prefer you’re already mostly dressed at this point as we want to capture the details and moments of the hustle and bustle and not sit around waiting for the next steps.

Show off Accessories

This might happen during the getting ready portion of the day if you choose to have it documented. If not, we can capture any of these fun details during the wedding party photo time. Each wedding is different, so there might not be any matching accessories you want to “show-off”. However, some groomsmen get suits with matching or differing suit coat lining. Some grooms give matching watches as groomsmen gifts. Whatever it may be –  ties, watches, inside of coats, or sunglasses, we’ll grab some details of it.

A traditional pose gives you the money shot photo. This is the photo that every wedding couple needs to have in their gallery. Everyone looking at the camera and smiling. It’s usually the first grouping on our list, and then we can work on more creative, fun, or goofy ideas. But, we always want to make sure we have this shot done first. Groom with Each Groomsman

These are your guys, right? Let’s celebrate your friendship and take a photograph of the groom with each groomsmen. This is a great time to show off unique aspects of your relationship and any inside jokes.  While you’ve got your Jackson Hole wedding photographer at the ready is the perfect time to get a photo to last a lifetime.  After all, you’re in an unforgettable place, celebrating an unforgettable event.

Groomsman Individually

It’s a big day for the groomsmen too! While they don’t have the same level of stress and planning going into the wedding as the groom does. They have probably traveled a long way to be at your wedding. Be sure to get a photo of each of your groomsmen individually to commemorate their part in your special day. These photos are quick and take less than a minute to grab. It’s usually a job for my assistant photographer when they are present.

Jump in the Air

A great option for the groom and groomsmen that want to have a little fun. Jump and pop your best pose in the air! Maybe practice your jumps ahead of time, and make sure you’ve got even ground to land on.

Walking Together

This groomsmen pose idea has variations, all depending on you and your crew. For the more lighthearted guys, they can make it playful and playful. For those wanting a more formal photo, this is still a great way to get everyone relaxed. But you can get your best blue steel face on.

Groomsmen Toss the Bride or Groom

Of all the wedding day groomsmen poses, this one is right at the top of my list. If you trust your wedding party, doing a toss with them is sure to bring laughter and maybe some swear words. It’s a little scary being tossed in the air and takes a few tries to get the toss just right, but it’s a crowd pleaser!
