SCHWABACHER’S LANDING WEDDING CEREMONY
Erin and Matt were married on a beautiful overcast day in Jackson at Schwabacher’s Landing in Grand Teton National Park. It’s one of my favorite and most popular destination elopement sites with its amazing view of the mountains. It is perfect for fall destination weddings and elopements as the park is less busy than the summer months. Schwabacher’s Landing is the perfect destination for an intimate elopement! I love getting to serve as a marriage witness to the majority of my eloping couples. We met up with
Hamish Tear, a local wedding officiant, and headed to the site.
their love story
The bride and groom were best friends in high school and quickly became boyfriend and girlfriend after graduation. After dating for nine years, they decided to tie the knot! They wanted a true elopement and traveled about 1,500 miles from Indiana! While they hadn’t ever visited Jackson Hole, they fell in love with Yellowstone on a trip the year before and knew GTNP wouldn’t disappoint. Teton National Park is so scenic, you can’t go wrong picking locations for photos. Their vows were some of my favorite I’ve ever heard and included promises of him ordering larger portions of food so she could change try some of his, movie nights snuggled together just chilling, and the best cereal themed nicknames! I’m so grateful they chose me as their wedding photographer and I got to witness their marriage!
Destination Elopements in National Parks
I love recommending our country’s beautiful National Parks as elopement destinations. For couples looking for a scenic, intimate scenic for their wedding, national parks and forests are a perfect choice. If I had to tell you which one is my favorite, it would be Grand Teton National Park! I love them all, but this one will always have a special place in my heart.
