My dear cousins are celebrating ELEVEN years of marriage this year! Happy Anniversary you two lovebirds! We spent this last weekend up in Island Park together and I had so much fun taking pictures of them. We sure love having them in our lives! Their youngest and our baby are less than a month apart. I still remember sitting at the kitchen table in 2015, dreaming up a trip to Mexico, when we then announced we were pregnant. They didn’t announce it at the time, but they had also just found out they were expecting! It is so fun for our littles to be so close!
Despite a few years separating us, as soon as I became an adult, Tiffany and I started really hitting it off. We saw each other yearly for family reunions, but there is a big difference in a 12 year old and a 15 year old as youths. I just remember dressing up her kittens in baby clothes and playing with her really cool barbies haha. When Clint and Tiffany got married, they started inviting me out to play board games and the tradition continued after Ryan and I got married. We love our board game buddies! Clint has probably over 65 board games, I won’t ask the real number but it’s a lot.
They’ve also always been major supporters of us and our marriage, and strength in our trials. After my cancer diagnosis in 2017, we spent a few days at their home over the Christmas break. Tiffany introduced me to Jordan Page, a budgeting master! I will write more about her in another post, but it changed my life! I became excited about budgeting, about saving money and finding ways to make life less stressful. I’m grateful for all the things that Tiffany and Clint have taught us over the years, and continue to teach us and encourage us in. She’s watched my son during surgeries and chemo treatments, brought us dinners, and is always a listening ear. We couldn’t love them more!
The snow up in Island Park was pretty dang deep and as soon as you stepped in any part that wasn’t already packed down, you sunk! The best part of our session came when trying to get some piggy-back photos and having Tiffany jump onto Clint’s back. Every time she tried to get a leg up, she would sink too fast. Then when she finally hopped on, Clint leaned over too much and almost dumped her fast first into the snow! Caught on camera and are my favorite photos maybe ever! We were laughing too hard, and I am still while I write this!
