Sarah and Quintin contacted me about photographing their March wedding back in December. They desired a small intimate wedding with only their closest family and friends. Originally from the area, Sarah knew she wanted her wedding to take place in the beauty of Island Park!

Island Park Wedding

In the week leading up to their wedding the forecast was looking pretty sketchy. Due to calls for several feet of snow, Sarah and Quintin made backup plans for their ceremony location. A few days before the wedding East Idaho had a massive snow storm that dumped a crazy amount of snow. Luckily, the main roads were cleared in time for the ceremony, but some of the side roads were not. Their good friends own the Boondocks restaurant up there and they were planning to do their dinner there. Since they could no longer get up to the cabin, they decided to have the ceremony there also!

Documenting is a team effort

When you hire Janelle & Co Photography for your wedding, you’re hiring a team of professionals. I’m so lucky to have amazing team members I can trust to help me capture a wedding day. When Sarah inquired about her wedding date, it conflicted with my trip to Mexico. I texted my associate photographer to make sure she had that date available. Since she did, I explained to Sarah that my associate photographers could photograph their wedding. I would still do all of the communication and editing and post wedding details. It’s a team effort and I’m honored to have amazing associates to work with!

My favorite things

I absolutely loved Sarah’s bouquet from Major Events. The flowers were so classy and had an understated elegance.  The bouquet came together as a beautiful mix of greens and unique blooms. My favorite touch was the white little buds. I love this addition to any bouquet as it lends both elegance and wildness.
