Laura and Tai are transplants from New Mexico, so when we were chatting about location ideas she honed in instantly on the St. Anthony sand dunes! They moved for work, and didn’t have time to take engagements in New Mexico on the white sand dunes there. I love that they chose this location because I don’t get to shoot out there very often. It’s also pretty versatile with the sand, the sagebrush, rocks, and trees out there. We focused on the sand part of the dunes and had a fabulous time!
It was a bit windy which made some of the photos a little grainy, you can literally see the sand being picked up in some of the photos! But luckily, these two were awesome spots and we captured some amazing pictures for them.
Heirloom Dress
Laura chose to wear a dress that was given to her by her mom! This is a dress her mom used to wear and handed down to Laura – she has several others that are heirloom pieces. I loved the bright yellow dress against the muted backdrop. These sand dune engagements will blow you away!
Bridal Fair Winners
I met Laura & Tai at the bridal fair in March. Laura is also a photographer so it was fun to chat and see which things she appreciated about my photography. At the bridal show, Laura won the grand prize giveaway from the vendors, which included an engagement session from me. I’m so glad this beautiful and photogenic couple won!
Bring your Doggies!
Every year I have clients that love to include their favorite pet(s) in their photos. I love that Laura and Tai included their doggo Donnie in their engagement pictures. Most of the time he was content to just run after a ball or stick, but he got good at photobombing us also!
