Kaeley and Quinn are the freaking cutest couple. I was sooooo excited when Kaeley asked me about doing their bridal session. We’re kind of, sorted, not really related. The short story is that her brother is married to my husband’s sister. But also her grandma and I share a maiden name so we should really use that family search app to check if we’re 2nd cousins 10 times removed haha.
Okay back to these two!! They really wanted to do a first look at the temple and I am so glad they did. First looks are always so fun, especially when the groom reacts so naturally and excitedly as Quinn did. Kaeley looked like a DREAM in her wedding dress and his reaction was perfectly authentic to seeing her in it for the first time!
Prior to their photoshoot, I drove up the canyon with my in-laws to do some photos for their small family. I got so car sick in the back! And the canyon is so long that getting to some of the cool areas we did photos with them was going to just take too long. Luckily I spent time scouting the whole way up and back on our drive and when we did Kaeley and Quinn’s photos I had some ideas of where I wanted to go. Our first stop was the Stokes Nature Center. The parking area is tiny but the trail is gorgeous!!
We then went to another area past the dams that I had only viewed in passing. I took a risk and we climbed up this wicked steep hill for these incredible views (go moms and Kaeley and Quinn in your wedding attire!). Logan Canyon is absolutely breathtaking. I was literally SO giddy when we climbed up on the rock below to get the perfect setting for these whimsical and romantic bridal portraits!
I knew we would have more light at the temple than we would in the canyon, so we finished up in the canyon and headed to the temple for the later evening photos. This is only the second time I’ve gotten to photograph bridals or a wedding at the Logan LDS Temple. The last time I was even at the temple was four years ago for my sister-in-law’s wedding when I was EIGHT months pregnant. This bridal session was certainly an easier feat for me to photograph!
Congratulations Kaeley & Quinn on starting your Forever Family!
