Back in November, I photographed these in Grand Teton National Park. They were my last session before my family left for a two week vacation in Utah and California! Emily and Ben originally planned to vacation in Colorado, but the area was still experiencing wildfires. Last minute, they had to change their plans and decided to come to the mountains of Wyoming. Fall is such a beautiful time in the Tetons. In mid fall, the park roads are still open and it’s mostly deserted. This year seemed to have more traffic than previous years because many school aged kids weren’t back in the classroom. However, we still had plenty of room and privacy for Emily and Ben’s session! I love when couples get adventurous during their session. One of my favorite poses to do is when the girl is on the guy’s shoulders. That was probably the highlight of the session for me!
For this couples’ second location, we took a small hike inside the park. The overall hike is a total of about 4 miles roundtrip and takes about 1.5 hours. This little nook of aspens and the fun bridge are just 10 minutes up the trail and has become one of my favorite spots in the summer and early winter. It’s perfect for everyone who loves the willowy look of aspen trees! I hiked this full hike several times this year and it quickly became a favorite of mine. I can’t wait to snow-shoe or XC ski it this winter!
This location stays open year round and is one of my favorite winter spots for a great view of the Teton mountains. The peaks were so beautifully visible on this day. We had to grab a commemorative mask photo for this healthcare professional!
