The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Wishing for an intimate fall elopement? Look no further than Grand Teton National Park for your nuptials. Whether you want to celebrate with just the two of you, or a few select guests, there is a location for you!
The park has increased in popularity over the last few years which is good and bad. The downside to the increase in park visitation is that some locations have gotten busier and permits have gone fast for the most popular wedding spots. The good of it means that more and more couples like you are coming to the Tetons and choosing me as your photographer!
Before heading out to the ceremony location, the bride and groom has pre-wedding photos at Hotel Terra. Ajay’s mother helped both the bride and groom during the getting ready process. Julie had a unique wedding dress that was purple and pink ombre. Ajay had a purple overcoat with a lovely texture. He also wore a sentimental blue lobster pin and special watch. The pocket watch had their location coordinates engraved, along with the quote from Thoreau, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
They shared their first look at Mormon Row with his parents and brother looking on. Seeing the groom’s face was one of my favorite parts of the day! His reaction was so pure and genuine.
Julie and Ajay’s Intimate Fall Elopement ceremony took place at Schwabacher’s Landing. They were one of the lucky couples who secured a ceremony permit for this highly coveted space. Cindy Dahlin officiated and the wedding couple shared personal vows as well. Afterwards, the bride and groom shared a champagne toast with their family.
Then, it was off to Taggart Lake Trailhead where we incorporated the couple’s love of hiking. They didn’t have the time for a full hike on their wedding day with dinner plans in the works. This is one of my favorite locations for couples who want amazing hiking wedding portraits without going too far up a trail. Within only 10 minutes of walking, we come to a beautiful grove of aspens and a small waterfall that flows under a bridge. If you’re extra adventurous, you can climb up onto the rocks as well!
Let’s connect about your intimate fall elopement plans. I’d be pleased to be your Teton wedding photographer!
