20th Wedding Celebration

Lisa & Todd celebrated 20 years of marriage with special Colter Bay anniversary portraits in the Tetons! They made plans to spend a week in Jackson Hole and decided to make things a little more special on their trip. Initially they planned to have a vow renewal, but later decided to just do photos and not mess with the permit situation in GTNP.  They loved the Colter Bay beach area, and wanted photos in an additional location as well. After my recommendations, we settled on couple portraits starting at Cathedral Group Turnout and ending at Colter Bay. These are both wonderful locations if you want a photoshoot near Jackson Lake Lodge or other lodging on the northern end of the park!

Colter Bay Anniversary Portraits

Their photoshoot was in the height of summer heat, and Colter Bay is a very popular swimming area. Located next to a large campground, it draws tourists and guests from all over the area. We were lucky to have plenty of room to take photos on the beach even though it was busy! Lisa and Todd even chose to cool off a bit and soak their feet in the waters of swim beach for a few photos.

I find that through my photography business I have met many people who have experienced breast cancer in themselves or in a loved one. Lisa and I were able to have a chat about our experiences dealing with the grief of cancer. I appreciate these opportunities! And they are always a good reminder that life is short, take the photo!
