Choosing to have a Jackson Hole Micro Wedding is perfect for couples who would like to elope but still want guests to attend! If you’re looking to have an intimate wedding with your closest family and friends, then a micro wedding in the Tetons is a wonderful blend of adventure and tradition.
I love when a couple chooses to have a first look or private vows before their ceremony. As a pre-ceremony event, it can help alleviate stress and pressure for those who may struggle with being emotional in front of others. While this isn’t ideal for each couple’s wedding vision, it was the perfect option for Michelle & Josh. They chose to do a first look and vow reading before their ceremony at Mormon Row. For them, they still wanted to let their family watch from a distance. This gave them space to be themselves but allowed their family to witness the moment too. Each couple’s decision on how to approach this will differ, but check out this blog on why I love them and recommend them for many of my couples! As an added bonus, this wedding couple had a completely different location for their pre-ceremony events than their wedding ceremony.
The bride and groom had their ceremony at Mountain View Turnout. It’s one of the site specific locations in Grand Teton National Park that allows a guest count of up to 25 people. It’s one of my favorite large locations, and also one of the first to fill up each year. With it’s open views of the mountains, it’s a hard view to beat. Michelle and Josh had a beautiful ceremony which included a reading from a family member, ring exchange, legal vows, and a champagne toast. Hugs all around in celebration before starting family photos and the dreamiest wedding portraits. We managed to beat out the rain as everyone boarded the party bus to Schawabacher Landing
Our time at Schwabacher Landing was limited due to impending rain, but it was well worth the stop. These wedding photos may well be some of my favorites from 2025. During our photo time here, the sky lit up with God Rays and we all just felt the joy and magic of the day so fully! Michelle and Josh have a very unique love story that began amid loss and friendship. So to be celebrating such an incredible day with them was an honor. And, I’m absolutely thrilled by how our short time here turned out.
Before their dinner reservations, the wedding couple and their families headed to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for pre-dinner drinks. The other guests were so kind to let us borrow their seats for a few saddle photos. The couple got stopped by some other newly weds who bought them a congratulatory drink. Then they shared a dance on the dance floor before calling it a night!
