It was an absolute honor to be Sara & Ben’s Jackson Hole Wyoming Elopement Photographer! These two eloped to the Tetons with their family as their only guests and had a magical day. During their mid-day wedding they shared first looks, private vows, an intimate ceremony and wedding portraits throughout the park. Helping couples figure out how to include multiple locations for photos on their wedding day is one of my favorite things. When all the logistics line up, it allows them to explore different areas of the park and have a lot of variety in their wedding photos.

First Looks & Private Vows

The bride and her father shared a first look together at Schwabacher Landing. Then, Sara’s dad walked her down to where Ben awaited her. Bride and groom first looks are a great consideration for your wedding day. In some cases (like this) it allows us to do photos in a different location than the ceremony and allows for more privacy for that moment. They couple spoke private vows to each other along the Snake River at Schwabacher Landing.

At their wedding ceremony location, family gathered together to witness their union. Her brother officiated and both mothers had prepared readings. Each member of the wedding party gave their own blessing to the rings while the readings took place. I love this new trend or tradition of all the parties blessing the rings. Then it was time for the stomping of the glass and Ben made sure it was good and broken! I love to see how each couple incorporates their personal beliefs into their wedding days.

Family photos, a mini celebration, road photos, and wedding portraits in two locations kicked off the rest of their wedding festivities. We finished early enough in the afternoon for them to join their families for a special dinner. It meant going without sunset photos, but this mid-day wedding was nothing short of spectacular!
