Richard’s Grand Teton National Park proposal to Claudia was pure magic on an August afternoon at Cathedral View Turnout. With no one around but the two of them and the mountains as witnesses, he asked the most important question of their lives in the simplest, most authentic way possible.
Claudia looked absolutely radiant in her light-colored striped dress paired with a gold metal belt and western boots—the perfect blend of elegance and mountain style. Richard complemented her beautifully in a pale blue button-up, dark tan pants, and his own western boots. The intimate National Park proposal unfolded naturally, with genuine emotion and stunning scenery combining to create unforgettable moments.
For their second location, we headed to String Lake. The charming bridge and peaceful lakeside provided a completely different aesthetic from Cathedral View Turnout, giving Richard and Claudia beautiful variety in their images.
I recommended these locations because we were photographing before another booking, which meant working with mid-day lighting. This timing actually looks incredibly lovely at these spots. We even lucked out with scattered cloud cover throughout the session, adding beautiful dimension to the light.
One major benefit of an afternoon proposal? You can head straight to dinner and celebrate your engage ment! Richard and Claudia did exactly that, riding the high of their special moment into an evening of celebration.
