Young Love

Alyssa and John met while attending school at Brigham Young University. They have a classic BYU love story where they were in the same singles ward and hit it right off! I took their engagements this spring in Provo Canyon. One month ago, we photographed their bridal and formal couple portraits at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  I’ve been sitting on these bridals for weeks now and today SEAL THE DEAL! When couples choose to do a bridal session, we get this alone time together during the best lighting of the day. The hardest part is having to wait to share the photos!

Idaho Falls LDS Temple Wedding

It has been several years since I photographed a wedding at the Idaho Falls Temple. It was closed for renovations for two years, and then was just rededicated in 2017. When I arrived at the temple a few minutes before our scheduled meeting time, I realized that all of the parking lots were gated closed. I then remembered that the temple and thus the temple grounds was closed for deep cleaning! I knew that this was the only time frame John was available for pictures so was kind of freaking out about not being able to do temple pictures. Luckily, the visitor center was still open. I went in and talked to the missionaries that were there, and they let us in to take Alyssa & John’s bridals! We are so grateful they did, and it turned out to be such a beautiful night.

Swoon Worthy Bridals

I was absolutely swooning over their wedding photos when I got home! I cannot say enough good things about their chemistry together! They are the cutest couple and their young love shows so openly on their faces. Alyssa’s dress had the most beautiful lace train that made for some seriously stunning pictures. And I got to practice my veil kissing shots again! For the past week, they’ve had countdown calendars on their Instagram stories. It makes me so happy to see them so excited for their wedding day!
