The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
So, you’ve made the decision to get married in the Teton Mountains, but aren’t sure what the next step is? I’m here to help! Let’s dive right in to see how I can help you plan your Grand Teton National Park Wedding, and then photograph the day of your dreams!
First, If you’re new around here and we haven’t met yet, I’m Janelle. I’m a wedding and elopement photographer with over 10 years of experience photographing events. The last six years I’ve specialized in wedding and elopement photography. I’ve made over 50 trips to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park! It is my favorite place to spend the summer months, under the magnificence of their mountain peaks.
You could say I’m an expert in helping you chose locations, timing, and photographing your wedding! You might also be thinking I’m someone you’d like to have as an honorary member of your bride squad, but most importantly, your wedding photographer. You’d be right, and I gladly accept! Now let’s get planning your Grand Teton National Park Elopement!
I love Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park elopements! Wyoming is such a beautiful place to celebrate the love you and your partner have for each other! With thousands of miles of hiking trails, epic mountain views, and incredible lakes, it doesn’t get much better than this. Jackson, Wyoming, is a very cute town located just under 13.5 miles from the Moose Entrance into Grand Teton National Park. Hosting four elk antler arches in Jackson Town Square, this town is a unique place to visit with loads of yummy food options, ski resorts, shopping, and outdoor adventure. Summer hiking and boat trips are just a few of the experiences to be had!
In this guide, I will walk you through some of the amazing vendors that my clients have worked with in the Jackson Hole area. While I won’t give away all of my secrets here for everyone to know (a girls gotta keep a few, you know?), I do want to answer some of my most frequently asked questions. My goal is to help you decide where to go and what to do as you plan your perfect Jackson Hole wedding and give you access to our preferred vendors!
Heaven on Earth. Grand Teton National Park lends itself as a magical wedding venue for elopements. Because props and chairs are not allowed to be set up in the park, locations are most ideal for couples or very limited groups. A special wedding permit is required for all weddings inside the park and can be obtained through an application on their website. Unlimited possibilities, trails, and views. If you’re considering a GTNP wedding, I can offer several location recommendations. While all of Grand Teton National Park is truly magnificent, my all time favorite location remains Schwabacher’s Landing. As seen in My Favorite Jackson Hole Location.
Additional location ideas can be seen throughout my blog. And, when you book with me, I’ll send you loads of ideas based on your preferences! It’s like, my favorite thing…
Some more gorgeous locations, because I know you want to see them!
Just a few amazing florists that my clients have worked with in Jackson Hole!
Chloe is the mastermind behind Flowers by Chloe. Her designs are created to compliment the abundant beauty found in nature. Chloe’s flowers are locally sourced whenever possible for that fresh picked, natural vibe. Some of her beautiful floral arrangements are featured in the following links: Romantic Teton Destination Elopement and Spring Moose Creek Ranch Wedding.
JH Flower Boutique is a great place to get all of your floral needs. They make the most elegant and whimsical arrangements, as seen in Kelly Wyoming Wedding, and this not yet featured weddings:
Sue created several stunning arrangements for this not yet featured wedding on the Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club property:
Joni has been doing florals for over 10 years and has such an incredible talent. While she’s not located directly in Jackson Hole, she is available for your destination wedding or elopement! She goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are over the moon happy about their wedding flowers!
If you are looking for an intimate elopement, the following wedding officiants can help you to achieve that goal. The elopement and wedding ceremonies they have done for my clients have been exceptional! Each officiant provides a unique experience unlike any other ceremony I’ve witnessed.
Hamish is a “Humanist Celebrant”, or officiant, that will perform a non religious wedding ceremony. He is willing to help out with some of the wedding details upon request such as writing vows and creating a wedding schedule. He is aware of the wedding photographer, so precious moments such as the first kiss can be intimately captured.
Pastor Ray is a wise and genuine wedding officiant. His ceremonies are beautifully written and include prayer, scriptures, and other poignant elements.
Cindy is a local church administrator at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole. She tailors your wedding ceremony to whatever you would like, ranging from religious to non-religious. She is available to officiate inside Grand Teton National Park and in the town of Jackson Hole.
There are many people who love having Tom Jordan as their wedding officiant. From spiritual to wise, Mr. Jordan exhibits many exceptional attributes due to working with couples for over 30 years. I highly recommend him to my religious couples and is a great choice to be your officiant for an intimate wedding near the Tetons.
Allow these professionals to pamper you on your wedding day. Hiring a Hair and Makeup Artist who is talented in all skin tones and textures is worth every penny!
Tanya Crocker is my go-to recommendation for weddings in Jackson Hole. With several years of experience, and a talented team, she is a professional in every sense of the word. For brides, bridal parties, mothers, and flower girls, she is fantastic. And if your man happens to get sunburned the day before your wedding, she can help with that too. Seen in these weddings: Leigh Lake Elopement and Teton Destination Wedding.
Kelly is so genuine and sweet and such a joy to work with. Her style is to naturally accentuate your best features and make you positively glow on your wedding day.
While Trudi is not located in Jackson Hole, she has traveled for several events to ensure brides receive the best services. She’s talented, sweet, and knows how to make every bride feel her best on her wedding day!
I know that all of that information can seem overwhelming, which is why I’ve already narrowed down a lot of the choices for you! While you are (obviously) welcome to choose whatever professionals you feel the most comfortable with, I hope that these recommendations can help give you a starting point as you plan your grand wedding day!
Lastly, I would love to capture your special day in the most beautiful place on earth! I have been so lucky to photograph over 50 proposals, elopements, and weddings around the Tetons. I’m honored to capture those priceless moments that my clients have treasured for years. If you choose Janelle & Co Photography, you can leave the stress behind and enjoy beautiful photos of you and your loved ones for years to come.
I can’t wait to help you plan and photograph your epic Grand Teton National Park Elopement!
