The first time that we attempted to photograph Brooke and Collins bridal session and the Tetons, we got rained out. An evening summer storm kicked up and we got rained dumped on us, as well as crazy gusts of wind! It was such a bummer because I had checked the weather forecast all day We had all traveled from Rexburg to Jackson Hole, and Brooke had had her hair and makeup and a bouquet made up for the photos.
But it all worked out, we were able to do their photos again and this time we’re successful in doing pictures in two mountain locations! Brooke really loved the look of the water with the mountain, so we chose String Lake. We walked down the trail to a more private location. This is one of my favorite locations in the summer to do pictures! The Tetons are more of a side view here but still equally as magnificent as the iconic view you get further away.
I’ve really been trying to do some new poses and detail shots with my couples! It’s really fun to try some of those out with them (see if you can spot which ones!). Brooke’s wedding dress had exquisite beading all down the back. She got it from Pritchett Bridal in Orem. Her bouquet was from Plush Floral in Idaho, and was a beautiful creation of wild and simple. I loved the pops of colors that she had in her bouquet. Her inspiration was definitely a very elegant, simple, classic vibe which I really loved.
Near the end of their bridal session, we could see rain clouds moving in. We even saw several lightning streaks before hustling back to the vehicles and hopping in! We made it just in time! The wind picked up again and we had the most massive rain storm! I was so glad that I had met them an entire hour earlier than I normally would have. Luckily, it meant that we had plenty of time in both locations! So thankful we documented them and their bridal attire before another summer storm picked up!
