Destination Elopement

This Jackson Hole destination elopement had it all! James & Diana contacted me just a week or so before their Jackson Hole elopement. Their photographer had to cancel and my friend and their officiant Hamish recommended my services to them. They were such a joy to work with! It’s not uncommon for me to meet my brides and grooms for the first time on their wedding day. Many of the couples I work with travel long distances to elope in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They were no exception, traveling from New York for their nuptials.

Their Wedding Details

They decided to have a quick first look at their hotel, then had a taxi service drive them to the ceremony site. Schwabacher’s Landing is hands down my most popular elopement site. It has a beautiful view of the Tetons and trees, water, trails, and sometimes wildlife. The landing right behind the parking lot has such an open view of the Tetons, it’s perfect for couple portraits. I hadn’t ever had a wedding take place that close to the trailhead, but it was a nice shady spot and they loved the view! After the wedding ceremony we took photos at several locations at Schwabacher’s Landing. It’s a short trail, but Diana was smart to bring along a pair of walking shoes! She had beautiful white heels that she didn’t want destroyed. Their wedding rings were mementos from their parents and had a lot of sentimental ties. Diana’s shorter dress was perfect for the August heat and every detail was so elegant. James was so dapper and looked adoringly at her every moment of their wedding ceremony as they promised the rest of their lives together.

Pink House at Moulton Barns

Once we finished at our first location, we drove a short way to Moulton Barns / Mormon Row. There is the cutest little pink house! This is one of my new favorite places in Jackson Hole for photos. There is a great view of the Teton and the house adds a quirky and unique element to wedding pictures.
