I love styled shoots! First, it gives me an opportunity to work with new wedding vendors. This is a huge help in an industry that can rely heavily on word of mouth referrals from other wedding professionals. In 2018, 70% of my weddings were referrals, and 50% of those referrals were from other wedding professionals! Second, I get to meet fellow photographers. I can always learn from other people and it’s fun to see the vision photographers have and what they capture in through their camera. I’m a fan of working alongside fellow camera lovers and learning how they like to move the client, what angles they choose, what equipment they have and how they interact with a couple. Since Elopements are also my favorite type of wedding to photograph, this styled shoot was perfect.

Amazing Wedding Vendors

This styled shoot was made possible by our fantastic wedding vendors. Makeup was provided by Kellie Stolworthy. She’s always done a fabulous job and goes beyond expectations in her service. Hair was styled by Brooke Sherf, and I loved the braid detail with the loose curls.  The wedding bouquet was designed by Alexis Meza. It is the perfect combination of greenery and color and definitely the vibe I love. Dress was generously provided by The Circle of Love. This modest, lined lace dress was a dream to photograph! It had beautiful details throughout. the arch and decor was provided by Wedding and Party Exchange and concepts by Celine.

The Couple

Omar and Reagan have actually been married for a few years already but they were such the perfect models! Real couples make the best models for styled shoots because they are comfortable with each other and we can make them kiss! And since they are really in love, we get those true romantic and intimate photos.  These two did a fantastic job at being fun and playful but could quickly become more romantic in a heartbeat. I love photographing styled elopements and real couples!
