The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Jordan and Matt had a glorious Fall Grand Teton Elopement. The weather turned to be a bit moody but we were so lucky to not have any rain that was disruptive. They rented a party bus for their crew and it was the perfect setting to allow them to just relax and soak in the day with their friends.
They chose to have their first look at Mormon Row. As a Jackson Hole Wedding Photographer, I love this vantage point with the barns. It allows us to really capture the essence of the wild west. And I tell you they all came ready to embody the western vibe for their wedding day.
Jordan’s dress was absolute perfection. Her Boho style wedding dress had the best lace detail that was simple, elegant, and gorgeous. It was also really fun that it was kind of a loose mermaid fit, so there was a lot of room at the bottom for her to move her feet and walk in. But it was also very fitted and sleek.
Matt’s outfit is honestly one of my favorite I’ve ever seen. And I know that that’s really saying a lot because I have photographed almost 300 weddings. I just love the simplicity of his outfit while maintaining the dressiness warranted for such an occasion. The detail on his green jacket was exquisite and I literally asked him to tell me where he got it because I need my husband to have one of the same ones!
Next we headed to Schwabacher’s Landing where we had the most beautiful light. We really had the prettiest light all day and I’m especially glad we had good light Schwabacher’s Landing because we took photos of almost every guest there. One of the things that Jordan and Matt wanted to do for their friends was make sure that they got an individual or couple portrait in a place of their choosing in the Tetons. They wanted them to have a memento and reminder of such a special day spent there. So, everybody except for one individual chose to get their pictures taken at this location.
The fall colors were still there in abundance. Matt and Jordan really had an emphasis on wanting to explore a lot of different places in the park. So after couple and guest portraits at Schwabacher’s Landing, we headed to String Lake with transportation by Double Black. We spent a little bit of time here with guests and made sure to grab a group photo with some beer cheers. Then we headed to their ceremony location!
They chose to have their ceremony in Mountain View turnout which was absolutely stunning. Even though the peaks were fairly covered by the low hanging clouds, it just gave this really like intimate to the whole ceremony. This is where we also took all of the combinations of group photos that the wedding couple wanted. They had the prettiest vow books that I’ve ever seen and the vows that I heard were really funny! I always love it when a couple has a good sense of humor and include that on their wedding day.
I also got to work with new videographers! They hired Tenneson Stanley’s company. His associates worked the wedding and it was a lot of fun working with a new crew. Everyone likes to capture and document a wedding day differently so it was great to see how they worked. I look forward to working with them again in the future.
