Brielle and Taylor have been together for several years now, but have not really had formal portraits done together! She said that neither of their families are really into photos, but she loves them. In a flurry of planning, this shoot came together in just a day. Makeup by my favorite Kellie, and hair done by Kristie! She ordered her dress on Amazon – seriously, bless Amazon for their prime shipping and amazing selection.
Blacktail Day Use at Ririe Resevoir
I desperately wanted to find a new location to photograph these two. Working with a model is the perfect time to scout locations for future clients and these two were willing to make the drive our to Blacktail on the Ririe Resevoir. Wow! I will be planning a sunrise shoot here in the future. The view is breathtaking, and perfect for a couple like these guys. The parking lot was absolutely packed when we arrived, and since you lose service as soon as you head down the hill, it took us a few minutes to find each other.
Beyond her kindness, one of the things that instantly stood out to me are her fascinating tattoos. Brielle chose the perfect dress for showing of all the artwork she’s commissioned! She has one in progress right now on her leg, that when finished will be a beautiful seahorse surrounded by water. Scroll down to check this beauty out!
Scared of Snakes
While we were tromping around in the tall grasses, I saw these little holes (likely rodent homes), but I instantly was worried about snakes after that! The whole session, I walked so slowly when we were moving to a new spot. I did not want to come face to face (or toe to mouth) with a rattlesnake! Luckily, we were probably on the wrong side of the mountain (in the shade) and we didn’t see or hear any snakes. Its the most nervous I’ve been about snakes in awhile though! As a photographer, we have to worry about possible dangers we, and our couples, might encounter. Luckily, I’ve not yet been bit by a rattlesnake, or eaten by a bear!
