I am so excited to share Neva and Scott’s engagement session. They are getting married in late September, but I’ve already had the honor of photographing their engagement and bridal sessions. We took their formals at the Rexburg LDS Temple in June. Neva had a special surprise she wanted included in their photos, so we had to do them before it was too late in the season. I’ll be sharing those formals closer to their wedding date!
Now, for more about their engagements. After a lot of location deliberation, Neva opted to have their engagement session at the BYU-Idaho Ricks Gardens. I love the variety that they have, right there on campus. One of my favorite spots is the Apple Orchard. This time of year, the apples have started budding out a you can find small apples about the size of an apricot. They are so cute and green! The gardens are also in bloom and so colorful and bright! Their engagements turned out so beautifully.
Bringing two outfits for your engagement session is highly recommended. I recommend one outfit that is dressy, and one that is casual. This allows you to have a variety of pictures for your announcements and album. A small wardrobe change makes a big difference! For the first groupings of photos, Neva wore a dress which allowed us to do fun twirling and dancing pictures in the apple orchards. Her dress adds flirtiness and fun to the photos, and looks so much better than pants would for that pose! Then later, she changed into pants and a blouse. This wardrobe change made it easier to pose them differently, most especially the piggy back ride, and then snuggled together on the ground.
