Brittany and Brent were so fun to work with and I’m so glad they trusted me to document their Jackson Hole engagement pictures in the Tetons! Brent hired me to photograph his proposal to Brittany months in advance. But he couldn’t wait and proposed in Hilton Head a few weeks earlier. We all know there is nothing like the grandeur of the Tetons, so they opted to keep their session on the calendar.

The day of their engagement pictures, they hiked Delta Lake. This tends to be a theme for some of my couples. They go on big hikes and then are sore for photos! Well, I ask my couples to do lifts and squats and all kinds of movement during their session. It always makes for some extra groans and laughs. Their muscles are already shot from a day of hiking. These two were troopers though! 

What to wear for Engagements

When choosing what to wear for engagement sessions, I love this casual dressy look. Her dress beautifully sets her apart from the backdrop, and his button up compliments the more formal feel with the dress. Summer Sunsets in the Tetons

The evenings are long in the summer which makes it the ideal time for photos. I love to photograph couples after the sun has dropped down behind the mountains just enough to give us the glow. This time of night also gives us the dreamy soft lighting on my couples. This location is also one of my favorites because its always empty and it’s easy to access!
